I added two more pictures of the swing sequence using the compact persimmon driver. The finish and the continued extended club head to the sky The Real Moe Norman style. Thought this would provide a little extra. I have the whole swing series and may put it on later once i decide what pictures i will use for the second book. Just a humble suggestion. While I can see the use of the phrase “the Real Moe Norman” for the book title or the title of this thread, I am sure thats not how you addressed him as a friend/mentor/teacher. I only know Moe Norman from these forums or youtube videos in which he comes across as a very spontaneous individual. I would think his soul will be happier if you referred to him in the ongoing posts by whtever name you called him during life.

I appreciate your understanding why i continuely refer to my teacher and close friend as The Real Moe Norman. Our golf relationship is the real deal that clears up many misconceptions about the man and his golfswing that Lawson Mitchell and myself are the true authority on. The truth is The Real Moe Norman I would call him buddy or pal as he referred to me but for the purposes of the book and the social media we called him The Real Moe Norman. Though i called him Moeses or Moe also during our lengthy relationship that involved personal golf instruction and friendship on and off the golf course.
I have called him Murray but on a regular bases it was Moe, buddy or pal . If i called him Irwin he would chase me in fun.
I think Moe is smiling at the progress in ball striking being made from the days we hit 800 balls and played golf hitting four balls a hole. A happy soul from heaven smiling at Lawson Mitchell and Greg Lavern for getting the Real truth out as he always could count on us. Murray “Moe” Irwin Norman you will always be our (buddy, pal, or Moe) to us.

I’ve been a member here pretty much from the inception of the site. The Moe Norman threads are always interesting but in many ways are a sideshow to the ABS approach imo. I’d like to know why you’ve put a “copyright” on all the pics you just posted? In 3 years or so here Lag, Two, and many others have posted freely their thoughts, pics, and vids of relevent information totally free of any “lawyer speak” and all of a sudden I’m viewing stuff that’s copyrighted??
I’m not sure what you’re afraid of or if this relates to your dust up with Todd Graves, but why sully up the site with a bunch of “proprietary” information? I don’t understand why someone would come to someone else’s site and proceed to post with caveats.

First of all your welcome to view or download for your personal use.
The reason there is copyright is simple I own the pictures. I have a full swing series and may use the pictures in my second book. A few pictures were put on this thread to show the striking of a a compact persimmon driver lag Erickson made for me. It was out of appreciation that i bothered to show a few pictures ahead of time. With regard to your comment about Todd Graves not even a issue and your right nothing to be afraid of.

Greg, what is your take on this vid of Moe? Particularly the left elbow becoming “disconnected” and flying after impact. Is this something he advocated intentionally? Or was this maybe just the result of a certain shot shape he was hitting? Or the result of Natural Golf changing him?

I viewed the video you provided. If your referring to the left arm and hand moving away from the body it was explained in the book The Real Moe Norman. Italked about the left arm and hand moving away from the left side down the line to allow the continuation of the club face in a square position well beyond impact. This continuation of the left arm and hand is setting up the horizontal tug for the left arm to fully extend down the line. The bowed left wrist flows upward as the right hand pronates to shake hands with the flag stick. Moe taught me this long ago and is also in my golf swing.
It is a shame about the Real Moe Norman book that was removed off line from the unethical practices of the writer. However I will be utilizing my original writings and much more knowledge i have to come out with a superior book over the next year to help golfers that are interested in learning and employing what Moe Norman really did in his golf swing.
It is a slap in the face to Lawson, myself and most important Moe Norman. I felt i should let you know this since i have had quite a few requests from different countries all over the world about the where bouts of the book.
I am attempting to set up to be able to teach online in the near future since many have said to me that my knowledge is most important to the golfing community even more so than the book. Though it would be nice to also provide a well written book and DVD that i feel will benefit the golfer that wants to hit the golf ball straight and pure.
To fully answer your question Moe always did this beyond impact that i can contest to since 1974 when Moe Norman started teaching me with no influence from Natural Golf. Just remember Moe Norman was never a hitchhiker on the golf course as he swung within the golf course never out of bounds. The only hitchhiking Moe did was going to tournaments before he owned a car. A few weeks ago I ran into a friend who is a Moe Norman addict. I swear if one were to ask him what Moe had to eat on a Tuesday noon 25 years ago, he might just know the answer.
Anyway, I told him about your book, and your name, and believe it or not he never heard of it, or you. Of course he is about 70 years old and does not use Internet for anything, so he said he would have another friend of his who can access the internet to look it up and buy a copy for him. When I was telling him about the book from what I could remember off this site, he said something like…"well I’ll be able to tell you in a couple pages if it’s all bullshit or not! 
I saw him 2 days ago and asked him if he bought the book and he said that his friend couldn’t find it anywhere. I was surprised for sure, and when looking at ABS saw this recent post by you which I think suggests the book is no longer available for some reason.
Can you give me some details about what happened to the book, why it was discontinued if it was, and was there some sort of legal issue surrounding the book, and when might it, or a new book, become available.
BTW: he is quite fit and healthy and really does have a lot of Moe in his action- he’s a pipeliner too. He looks good, but I would say not exactly like Moe.
Any inside dope would be appreciated so I can tell this guy about it next time I run into him. Thanks.

Listen first of all i said the book is not available anymore and that is all you need to know. You can tell your elderly friend he can buy my book in about a year or so when i am ready to release it. There will be a public announcement at a later date.
Now why are you doubting about my relationship with Moe Norman? I am sure you can put your money where your mouth is.
I spent many years learning from Moe Norman since 1974 in both Canada and United States hitting 800balls a day and playing four balls a hole for many years while your elderly friend was sitting on his ass with splinters up them but knows all about Moe Norman, or at least what he reads. ha ha. You tell your elderly friend for me the things i know he would have never heard of. I was Moe’s close friend and most important he gave me all his knowledge. Sorry to disappoint you Mr. Rat but i know things about the golf swing know one else knows in both Canada and United States.

I think if you read Range Rat’s post again you will see that he was not personally doubting your relationship with Moe at all, but simply relaying a conversation with an old timer he is friends with who would be interested in your book. It’s easy to misinterpret the tone of messages on internet forums (I see it every day) but I feel 100% confident that this was a genuine inquiry not designed at all to question your integrity or authenticity. Anyway I hope all is well, thank you for sharing what you have here and I, like many others here I am sure, will be interested to to read the book when you are ready to release it.

Actually, I spoke highly of you from what I read on this site and told him that I have no reason to doubt the material at all…and knowing what a Moe fanatic he is, would appreciate adding another artifact to his collection. He’s a cool guy, and certainly doesn’t have the direct contact and relationship with Mr. Norman you had, but he thinks he knows alot ( right or wrong ) and simply responded the way he did being a crusty old timer.
Sorry for any confusion my post may have caused. I would still like to know, if possible, what the legal issues were so I can tell him next time I see him. In the meantime, I’ll do some looking on YT for your swing and if there I will tell him to get together with his internet savy friend for a beer and viewing.

First of all I am the real deal out of all the people that claim to know Moe Norman and I was Moe’s choice who he left all his knowledge with, where i am confident my golf swing is clear evidence of that. I will be doing a interview on Gotham blog over the next week to answer all the tough questions. I think you and your elderly friend will be very impressed. It is time now for me to speak up and i can assure you i wont be holding anything back.
I will answer your legal concern regarding the book. The book was online since November 2010 and taken off by Lulu for infringement reasons of third party involvement of Greg Lavern’s and Lawson Mitchell’s intellectual property for selfish reasons of the third party. Just so it is understood , all the pictures and original writings pertaining to my relationship and technical instruction i have ownership of other than the pictures of Moe in 1961 that Lawson took with a 8mm camera back then.
Lawson and myself formed a small company between the writer and ourselves who is the other person on the cover. Speaking of cover i also own that picture of Moe Norman I took in 1982 that is displayed on the cover. This writer has been dismissed months ago as a director with no involvement with company or the book from his illegal and unethical practices where he could have been charged with fraud and theft. I say this because neither Lawson or myself was put on the bank account, he put the book under the copyright names instead of the company particularly when he was told at a directors meeting to follow through with these specific requests. Any money that came in he kept himself and most of all he would not give us the passwords to the lulu account and neither Lawson or myself know how many books have been sold only the bull lies he told us with refusal to supply original invoices from Lulu. Lulu would not tell Lawson or myself anything even though all the material in book the writer did not have ownership of and acted fraudulently setting up an account under his name so Lulu would only provide information to the account holder and send him the checks. Bottom line i have not seen a dime or either has Lawson on this book.
Now you know. Lawson Mitchell the other co-author and myself have decided to move on and create a brand new product and a DVD to complement the new creation. The book that was taken off line will not be available anymore.
I was going to write another book anyway so i decided to utilize the important stuff from my own original writings along with lots more knowledge to make a superior book. This way it is a brand new product and this crook is out of our lives. Now you know the legal issues why Greg Lavern and Lawson Mitchell will be creating a new product and the only way to get rid of this crooked bitch of a man we got involved with.
This time around Greg Lavern and Lawson Mitchell will get involved with a real professional writer that has published books out and a DVD company to do produce a awesome DVD who are experienced professionals with integrity.
In the meantime i will complete the writings for the new book required for the professional writer and will be setting up shortly some online teaching so i can make some revenue for needed income to hit the golf ball which was the major reason why i agreed to provide my valuable world class knowledge that Moe Norman provided to me.
It is white collar crime that this type of guy practices and knows he can get away with. Even if we charged him the police would do nothing and give him a slap on the wrist but if you punched him in the mouth what he deserves the authorities would throw you in jail. My intention is to move forward as i have too much talent and knowledge and must continue with other projects on the subject matter. From my experience which is the truth if anyone in Canada or the United States intends to do business with this phony first time writer beware and be very careful. Better run as fast as you can. Both Lawson and myself refuse to mention his name though he is on the cover of the book and if you want to know his identity you will know the person that was totally responsible for why the book is not online.
Arnie now you and the rest of the forum have a better understanding of why the book disappeared and be able to relate to your elderly friend with a much better understanding.
