I found a pretty looking Mac persimmon driver today…
and then we had ANOTHER set of Hagen Ultras (23 bucks) that I just couldnt let go of…
all this was AFTER I bought the “Papi Specials” which were to be my last purchase until summer…
1965 MacGregor MT with a black ceramic face…
he threw in a wedge also…
AND they are Dynamic Stiff, so one of the few I won’t have to re-shaft…
new grips are all that’s needed on these things—we have had a helluva storm here, but
MAYBE things are clearing up for a bit—would love to have a hit with these!

1st time this has happened to me… about 10 or 11 days ago I won a set of Apex IIs for 100 dollars and haven’t seen them yet. They should have been here Thursday or Fri if the seller even took his time shipping them. I sent the seller 4 messages starting last Thursday and he hasn’t returned one of my messages. What a joy!!! I put in a claim with ebay. The seller has a 97 percent positive feedback, but I guess he don’t like freddiec. 
My Apex IIs came in today after all. The seller must have sent this parcel mail, but they came in and they are in pretty nice shape. These were the 1st year Apex IIs w Apex 4 shafts.
Oh nice Freddie, I’m waiting for a set of Apex II’s Apex 4’s also. I can’t wait for these to arrive, will post pics once they do.
Nice set Freddie! We’ve talked about the parcel post thing… ridiculous anything should take that long to ship.
Let us know how these compare to the PC’s you’ve got when you get a chance to hit them.

I think we talked about that set comparing to Medallions Freddie…any idea how the swing weight is on them? I think I mentioned the set of Medallions I got were on the lightish side…how did these pan out for future referance? condition looks pretty nice…always wanted a set of those for some reason…I just think that logo on the back looks cool

Yeah, I put myself on a spending freeze the next week or two, I bought these about a week and a half ago and they just came in yesterday.

I’ll definitely get these on my Maltby scale one of these days, unfortunately I let my buddy borrow it so I won’t see it for a few weeks. Will definitely let you know. The grips on these are huge, must be oversized, so thats probably gonna make the sw a point or two less. I’ve always like the Apex IIs myself, used to watch Jan Stephenson hit balls at the Boston Classic in the 80s. She won the Open with this set in 83. Plus tons of club Pros I knew had them. Classic set from the 80s, thats for sure.

I scored these babies (Hogan 82 Sunburst Medallions) from the US thanks to SB. I can’t wait for them to get here. Now I need a Hogan Sure Out wedge to go with them.
Very nice Ant - they look superb! I had a couple of boxes turn up today after a long, sometimes painful, journey across the Atlantic. First off a couple of pics of the original M85 wood set refinished by PersimmonPal who often visits us here. I am delighted with the quality of John’s (PersimmonPal’s) work - I think they look great and they have been finished to play rather than just display.
Next up a set of Hogan Apex PCs. They have been talked about a lot on ABS so I really wanted a set for myself. I was pretty awestruck when i unwrapped them (2-E, Apex 4 shafts, cord grips) as they feel really heavy and quite flat already. Not sure if thats common. Can’t wait to give them a hit!
I do not have pics yet, but I just received my MacKenzie Walker bag from ebay. Along with that are my 2 dozen Titleist Professional 90s.
Also had a nice Wood Bros Texan with a x100 shaft. I think it has been refinished at some point but it feels and looks very solid.

Dave Ballester’s Limited edition wood set - the man is a legend. These look unhit not least by Dave himself. Very nice with x100 shafts again.
Finally I also picked up a set of H&B Powerbilts. Sometimes these get looked down on but I have hit the driver in this set before and thought its was great so thought I would give them a try as they were very very cheap!
Anyway I just wanted to say a public thank you to Freddiec who has been an invaluable source of advice and common sense in bring these sets together and helping me get them over to the UK. I am eternally grateful

P.S Now to break the good news to Mrs Arnie when she returns from the gym…I hope she’s to tired to throw anything this time. I did casually prepare the ground last night by mentioning that Tiger went off the rails after Elin said he was cluttering up the place with all his old golf gear and he had to find another outlet for his obsessive behaviour…
