Even I had to accept that I was starting to have too may clubs so I bought up some old and not so old bags so I could get them out of boxes where I could see them. Mrs Arnie is delighted with the look…classic but contemporary I think she said before she left slamming the door behind her…

I’ve just got delivery of a set of Hogan PCs from ebay that are in very good condition - may get some pics up another time and I’m looking forward to trying them.

I found a set of Rawlings Lee Trevino Blades. (same as one in twomasters collection) Its a great looking club, but unfortunately the shafts are about 1.5 inches shorter than standard. I’ll see if its worthwhile adding extensions & new grips and then flatening them…otherwise…I’ll keep on searching.

Howzat…a set of Hogans for the cost of a sleeve of Pro V1… and the pro v’s last a round and the Hogans have lasted around 40 years so far

Repost: Hogan Bounce Soles showed up in the mail yesterday. I’m happy with their condition for $15 (pics below). Did module 1 last night with the 2 iron instead of the Ping i3+ 3 iron I was using before — Felt quite a bit different.

Are the Spalding Tour Edition “birdie on the ball” blades any good? I think they are the 85-86 model. I hope so…I picked up a set uncontested at the starting bid of $125.00. 2 iron through sw, S500 shafts 
Heavier than x100’s right? Lag said flat…heavy…stiff. Flat will be taken care of shortly. The ebay pics were not great (they are in excellent condition apparently)but I will post my own when they arrive. I did not even know that there was such a thing as s500! I remember these clubs from my youth…didn’t Norman play these? I fully expected one of you lot to come and snatch them up with a last second bid! Let the training begin.

Well I played a round with Welsh Dentist recently who had “bird on the balls” in the bg and the way his 2 iron flew consistantly at the pin at day was a hearty testimonial to both the clubs and the module work he has been putting in! Should be great with S500’s in! Let us know how you go.

Thanks Arnie. A grown man should not be this excited about golf clubs…but I am! I have been stalking ebay for several months biding my time to pounce on the right deal. The fella that put them up for sale did a poor job with the listing. This may have kept a few sharks out of the waters. He did not describe the flex etc. It took me a week or so to get the specs. Just in time from my Florida sojourn I will report back with pics and a review.
