Here’s a nice looking set. I can’t really tell if they’re in particularly great shape but the shafts seem good and strong. I’d almost prefer a good shaft to a good clubhead as far as playability goes… within reason, of course

Funny story time. I saw an ad a couple of days ago for Slazenger Gary Player clubs, but haven’t had any feedback as to what they are, or if they are quality clubs. I wander into my local golf shop and they have a left handed Slazenger Gary Player 8 iron, without a grip. It’s a blade, and looks pretty decent to me, but I honestly don’t know what to look for.
Anyway, they are still on ebay, with persimmon woods too, and more local to me than anything else that’s popped up so far. Should I be interested? I’m not so much worried about price, just whether they are worth playing if in good condition:

The pics are all from a bit far away… so that set is really a gamble… I can’t really tell if the woods are persimmon or laminated.
Shafts are a mystery, and what the heads look like.

Great looking set of Wilson Staff Dynapower Buttonbacks - not sure if these are the remakes from the 90s or originals? They do have Neumann leather grips.

Flop
I have a set of them FS, well apart from a badly damaged 8 iron (crack at hosel).
They are a lovely club but its amazing how light they felt when I picked them up recently.
Styles
I’m finding the same thing in the difference between my turfriders and apex redlines. Really like the feel from both, but think I’ll be heading to the lead tape store just to see what a difference a dab here and there will make.

ever since I got my Hogan “sure-out” wedge with one of my sets-which weighs in at about 488 grams and a SW at E 2 
my other clubs are looking uglier by the minute-more tape please—lead tape is your friend, boys!!!
Speaking of price fixing, I’ve had my eye on those Spaldings for a while now… shhhhhhhhh!

Those Hogan Bounce soles are the same model I took down to Vegas last year and won with. I stuck a set of tipped dynamic gold X100’s in them, and some cord grips. Mine are not in particularly great shape, but I love the heads, and feel of them.
The have a special feel about them.
