I’ve seen these Spalding Bird on the Ball irons used to great effect by at least 3 ABSers - definitely;y in my top 10 sets!

I am presently bagging a set of 1999 Mizuno T-Zoid Pro’s, which I just had restored to the original OEM specs for loft and lie.
I bought these clubs for $80, delivered to my door. I hit them very well, and really love them.
I also bought a set of Ben Hogan Edge GS, #2-PW. Mint condition, forged in Fort Worth, Texas…seller asked $60, offered $40, we settled on $50.
I am going to have the loft and lie adjusted on these about 3 degrees flat from standard.
what do y’all think about these?

What is the general opinion of Macgregor “Nicklaus” sticks.
here is a good looking set 1 Iron to PW.
I have a set of those I paid about $50. I do not like them and would much prefer to play one of my regular sets of blades.

Agree about those MacGregor JNP irons - they’re not very good. Faces are too long from heel to toe and they look quite awkward and cumbersome at address.
Better off trying to find a nice set of Muirfields or VIPs if you like the later MacGregor stuff.
Nah, i’m not to bent on anything in particular. Actually, i’ll take anything I can find for lefties. The pickings are kind of slim when trying to find any old hogan, macgregor or wilson blades for left handed players. I’ll just keep biding my time on ebay I guess. I wonder too if Lag ever modifies any lefty sets and puts them up for sale.

I think the price is a little high. I’ve been watching those for a while. I think they’d be a good buy down around $100. Shoot an offer to him maybe. I’d love to see them go to a fellow lefty ABS’er, because I can’t add them to my collection right now.

One more question, what does the code on the back of the club face indicate, I’ve seen R2MT or R1MT on the back of Macgregors, does anyone know what the code means?
