I too wonder about that as well! Thats a good looking set! I know lefty handers are hard to come by. All you need to complete that set is a wedge, and should be good to go!
They’re not always the same depending upon the era, but probably.
#1 - Stiff
#2 - Medium/Stiff
#3 - Medium/Soft
#4 - Soft
Always like seeing a set with a 1 iron. These look interesting…

Great irons. If you can pick them up you will love them as much as I do.
For the “lefties” this looks like a good set of Spalding Syncho-Dyned Irons with TT rocket green label shafts…some extra stuff too!

Has anyone ever heard of vintage Henry Cotton irons that were made in Scotland? They look pretty good.
Actually, #1 is more like X-Stiff. #2 is stiff, #3 is stiff/med, #4 medium. Especially if you compare it by today’s standards!

I was quoting what MacGregor sold them as at the time. Actually modern comparisons are a bit speculative as they weren’t all actually the same.
Set of mint 69-70 wilson staff dyna power irons for you lucky right handers.
Wow, that is a find.
unfortunately they have aluminium shafts…steel X would be a real good find
They would make great wall hangers in a glass display. They are some pretty clubs though, aluminum aside. ![]()
Someone get these! They’re listed as “Tony Penna” instead of “Toney Penna” so I doubt they’ll get a lot of attention:
got 'em. i almost did it on principle. i have 2 penna drivers that i love, been looking for others. .hard to pass up that price.
thanks jrich!
btw, my 8 year son is a lefty and we finally found some real woods for him at a thrift store. he’s all jacked up about them.

Nice. Glad someone here picked those up. I love my Toney Penna.
Good find on the lefties. They aren’t easy to come by.

Apex II’s with (supposedly) Vector 5 shafts. If they’re the real deal the shafts alone would be worth the price.
Here is a set of 1964 Hogan irons with original grips and shafts for you right handers.
My apologies in advance for this post, but how cool is this! ![]()

This sounds like a good deal. Just wish the seller knew what the flex of the shafts is

A set of early Hogan Powerthrusts. These where the last blades that Hogan himself designed before he delegated that task to Gene Sheeley.
Worth the price just for the heads alone. Should clean up nicely with some new grips and maybe new shafts depending upon what is in them.
