didn’t see a mention of a brand name-- looks like a Joe Powell driver-- NICE macs…hope you get them
Some 1983 Hogan Personal Blades. Very nice. I would probably go after them, but the reserve has not been met and they’ll probably want a lot of $$$ for them.

If I had the money handy, I’d buy them.

1960’s MacGregor Custom Tourney driver with a stiff shaft or a Hambuger and Fries with no drink? You choose which stiff shaft you want
You know you’ve gotten a heck of a deal on an item when the shipping is twice the actual item cost!
anybody know the hosel size for Hogan PCs, im unsure if they’re tapered or parallel?
thanks in advance
Hogan persimmon woods. 1 dollar plus shipping right now, 5 min left.
Hogan Redlines…
I have seen 2 different models:
one has the muscle back that extends to the toe and has " Ft Worth TX" stamped on the hosel, and the other one has the muscle back that is about 1/4 inch short of the edge of the toe.
Can anyone elaborate on these models?
thanks/eagle
I think the model that has the muscle extending to the toe is the 88-89 Apex (it has the 2 solid redlines under the Hogan separated by the lower part of the “g” in Hogan). The 93-94 Apex FT has the one redline under the “Ben” in Ben Hogan and has the word “Forged” in white under the Hogan. The FT has the muscle that stops short of the toe… looks a lot like the 79-81 Apex II’s to me from the back. (I thought the Apex FT had the Fort Worth on the hosel though)?
robbo
Robbo,
thanks
yep…I had it backwards. …Fort Worth is on the 93-94.
Are both of these called “Redlines”, and is one preferred over the other? Pros/Cons ?
eagle,
I think they got tagged with the name somewhat obvious name of “Redlines” due to the fact that Hogan seemed to make so many sets that were called “Apex”. Unless you knew the year they were made it might have been tough to know what model you were talking about.
lcd swears by the 88-89 model and I’ve heard that from others before. I don’t have experience with either so I can’t provide a personal opinion… other than I think ALL Hogan irons are pretty doggone good.
Thanks…would like to hear anyone’s opinion on them which Redlines are “best”.
It is interesting to me the many of his designs had the muscle that stopped short of the toe, which is the opposite of “toe weighting” that many clubs have. I suppose it follows what he said…something along the lines of if you do everything opposite in golf to what you think, you’ll be closer to right.
Robbo
and you are right about them being like the 79-81 Apex’s…in fact, may be virtually identical.

OK…they may be $255 but still a great bargain when you consider paying $700 or more for the modern ‘game improvers’… look brand new
have bought from this seller before…excellent clubs exactly as pictured
From the same seller…little older but a good rare find even though they are marked up a little
Not sure where that guy gets all his stuff from but these look pretty cool also and hard to find
Some lefty Macgregor DX Tourneys. Does anyone know much about these:

great find sb…would make a bid in a heartbeat or possibly take everyone else out of the equation with B.I.N…probably bid and try get them for lower…condition of them looks pretty outstanding
The vintage Top Flite irons look tempting. I always did like those ever since I saw George Knudson playing them in New Orleans in the mid-70’s.
sb
SWEET!! nice ones
These clubs have “2” on the shaft, I’m guessing Pro Pel 2 shaft. Is that regular stiffness?
