Bradley Hughes Cuts Loose!

Thursday sees a late start on day 1 off 10th for our man
3:12
Steve Conran
Terry Price
Bradley Hughes

Is it on TV here in the States? Would be nice to see a Two turn into a Three, of course not while putting!

I think (hope) it might get a little night time coverage on Golf Channel.

Yeah its on the golf channel at night. Does anyone have any video of Bradley’s current swing. I was just wondering how close it is to abs protocals?
Good luck Bradley

I believe he’s still working on some module 3 post-impact and release stuff, but you wont find anyone with better module 2 (footwork) action.

It would be great it he got some coverage on Golf Channel.

Bradley has worked all the modules through #8. The intention with them has really been to get him back swinging like he did during his best years. Everything is tighter and firmer, and much better internal pressures going on again. He’s striking the ball very good again. He swung much flatter back in the 90’s so that is back in place, and his gear is heavier and flatter so he can release it harder, not fear hitting it left, and gives him much better distance control.

I have a wager on him to win the event… so I’m sure that little extra incentive will come in handy down the stretch. Nice to see him playing with Terry Price the first two rounds. That’s a very positive pairing.

how do you put a wager on the Aussie Masters??

Hi Macs

i thought i had sent you a PM but it may have mis-fired i think.
Did you get sorted for a wager on TM ? I believe it is quite difficult for US based eg I believe UK firms are not allowed to accept your business.
i could place you $10 at 401 here in the UK if that was what you had in mind ? & you can paypal me
Will soon be start time down under btw

Tim

Yes please; put me up for the win.

75 1st round. I’m sure Brad isn’t pleased with a 75, but for somebody who’s been out of high end competition for years, thats very decent. I’m sure he’ll come back today with a round a few shots better or more. Good luck Brad!!

Well, Bradley is well into his second round. As I post he is one over through 6. Let’s all get a good vibe going for him to get a couple back from here. I see he took 35 putts yesterday, so his ballstriking must be quite good. Hard to expect to light it up on the greens first time back after such a long absence.

I watched some of the coverage of the 1st round this evening. Afternoon starters like Bradley definitely on the wrong side of the draw as the breeze really got up. Fingers crossed for a few red numbers as a 3 par 5’s left to come in his 2nd round.

back to even now thru 10…
Cut line is looking like 2 over. He can definitely do it, with 2 par 5’s left.

35 putts is not going to work in any era, much less today’s.
I would guess the leaders are around 26 to 28 putts, so there you have it.

I’m a bit more motivated to finish up the ABS putting modules. It’s really powerful stuff especially for
players that strike it well… but can’t seem to putt nearly as well. There is a lot of solid material in there, and it’s historically supported just as the ABS swing stuff is. Bradley and I discussed it a bit over the phone, but we haven’t had the chance to
really implement it. He told me he was putting good a few months ago, so no reason to mess with something that’s
working.

However…

Go Bradley go! As I write he is 3 under since my last post and -1 for the day, 3 over total. Could he make the cut? That would be spectacular. Come on keep what you got and get one more.

Birdie-birdie on 12 and 13.
2 over total now… 2 under on the day and can likely par in and make the cut. He still has 2 par 5’s left too…

Way to go Bradley! Birdied the last hole to get back to -2 on the day and +2 overall. Right now, that’s right on the cutline and unless it moves ot +1, he’s sticking around for the weekend.

Great fighting Bradley!
Big thank your for the blow by blow JRich.

I saw he hit 14 greens today, and finished with 29 putts. He appears to be hitting it well, so i would think if he could get the putter going this weekend he has a chance to shoot up the leaderboard. Good luck on the weekend.
