Clubmakers, I have a question for you guys, can the powder get down past the hosel pins, and then ram a cork on top of that to get my weight up on my irons? is this a good practice? or should I take them apart? thanks
Tungsten powder is pretty fine so I would think it would get past hosel pins easily, but I stay away from that approach as it tends to “move” the cog of the head. Lead tape is much easier to work with and you can put it right behind the sweetspot.
From my experience, 1/2 an ounce into the shaft is about the limit… anymore should be done with lead tape behind the sweetspot.
Thanks,I think I will try a little powder, then the rest lead tape.
