Toney Penna woods

Does anyone know the toney penna designation of shaft flex for woods? I see a bunch of stuff on ebay with shaft flex 1 and shaft flex 2. Thanks.

Hi Johnkeh,

Sorry I don’t know the answer to your question…I’ve got a TP driver that I’ve had for 30 years and it doesn’t have the shaft flex on it…I could measure the frequency but that wouldn’t help you either…Wish I could be of more help.

Toney Penna 1 was stiff, 2 was regular.

thanks guys - i went with a set of macgregor woods with propel #1 shafts instead.

The ProPel #1 shafts are one of the great iron shafts ever put into a set of heads. The wood shafts are a different shaft…
my personal opinion is that they are not stiff enough. I would pull and tip them two inches and then drop and extender into the butt end of the shaft. I think you would have a really good shaft in there then.
