Swing Sequences

I think Jack’s journey through there tells a good story. I’ve gotten a lot from how he’s got no real physical concern for the target line…

So much good stuff. I love this angle too. It’s a great view of what’s working and when- such quiet legs and rotation in the top 3 photos into the slot, and then the bottom 3 it’s go time. It’s like an explosion of sorts.

Hello, all. It’s been a busy old while but I hope you’re all doing well these days. Here’s a great sequence of Bob Gilder holing a 3w in 1988, courtesy of Twomaster’s channel. I’ll be in touch but just wanted to check back in and say hello…
Cheers,

It’s great to see you are back BOM.

Good to see you back Bom…
and a great post there from Gilder… frames 3 - 4 - 5 really show how to slot it.

Couldn’t find a ‘welcome back’ smiley!

In the words of the great Chief Dan George …" Makes my heart soar like and eagle to see you again." ( Little Big Man)

Welcome back Bom… I am sure you will like this swing (as we all should)

Hey, Guys…
I’ve been way off the radar lately… I hope all is well. Great sequence, Two, and good to see you all again. I’ve still been kicking away at the thoughts and all that stuff, still working away at the picture(s) that might produce the action- it’s my holy grail of sorts… can’t hate a guy for trying.
Here’s a few Hogan images that I’ve been clicking with, I like the different perspectives/dimensions. I like how a single goal can be accomplished by imagining 4(or a lot more) different images in the second sequence- pictures are important, imo…

That’s a potent collection of images Bom.
Great to see you back in action and clearly your imagination was always working while your posting had to wait.
Glad to see your post.

Welcome back to the fold Bom. As always, any Hogan stuff is music to my ears. Lots to see in all of them. And I think when looking for feel confirmations in our own action, photos like those are very telling. I really like the knee action in those.

It’s funny how much knee bend is needed to get all the way around low and left, almost like there is a new pressure zone- in the form of a very small arc segment- on the target side of the ball. And how he shortens radial dynamics goes a long way in getting to that point.

Anyway…nice to see you back.

You must have had a few toasts when McIlroy and Clarke did their thing!

The built in white stripe on his trousers is just brilliant, so much to learn from it…

Holy Crap Bom…that’s a HUGE tell right there…awesome pic.

Nice pictures as always Bom! Is that O’Meara? Looks like it is, I used to study him a lot. I like his swing and his thoughts about holding some wrist cock through the zone…and how he is a stickler for being on plane.

I’m wondering if that stripe was being used for a specific reason while taping that sequence. Pretty neat idea in any event…kind of like those B. Jones films where he is wearing black and white clothing against a black back drop.

This is a great swinging motif. Something addtional in those pictures that stikes me are some things that I believe hold true while swinging: there are really 4 address positions, and that the swing is basically over when reaching the spot depicted by frame 2.

So…who is it

Trevino. Had to blow the screen up 400%…eyes aren’t as good anymore.

Curtis’ was the first golf swing I ever really tried to copy- I’ve got the sway to prove it  He’s so good going through the zone. Him and Johnny were doing some very similar stuff through there too, pretty cool…

There are a number of moving GIF sequenecs of Hogan that I have compiled and posted in my photobucket account.

These were taken by Life Magazine photographer J.R. Eyerman in March 1954 at Seminole.

If you down load them full size, they are much more fun

Cheers,
Drew

Anyone else notice coming into impact Hogan’s left elbow bends a little and the arm comes away from his chest just as he supinates his left wirst? Then slams back into is chest not long afterwards.
Seems like a small attempt at keeping the club face square a fraction longer. Very similar to what George Knudson does through impact
