Swing really coming along from top of backswing into early downswing

These are really important frames in my personal golf swing I like to see my shaft to trail arm relationship from top of backswing into early downswing. Now if I have to get my trail elbow a tad tighter right before impact and I will be happy with my early summer work.

Shaft to forearm relationship is solid IMO. It also looks as if the clubhead isn’t moving inside as quickly going back. I know you said you weren’t as concerned with that but, I would seem it has resolved itself with the other work you’ve done. Elbow is tight! In my humblest opinion I would focus on having the club a bit more “open” at P3. That would free you up to smash the gravy out of it with your right arm and still hit the baby cut you said you’ve got. Great work Blades. Your students should just sit and watch quietly while you practice, take notes and then ask you about their notes in session.

Yes the shaft isn’t coming inside as soon as it was just a few weeks ago and it is a result as you mention the work that I am doing. I didn’t implement any backswing work I really focused on simply having more leverage and dynamic balance in the golf swing and that has created a situation where I am self organizing much better now. The Golf Fix gives me 9.8 and 10s all the time now.

Another thing that I did focus on was in the transition the target side heel has to be back on the ground before anything above fhe waist starts to happen. What I call little nail concepts has been a huge Jumpstart.

There are so many little nail concepts in the dynamic athletic swinging motion that if we paid just a little more attention to them I truly believe more golfers would also start to self organize better and clear their mind of overwhelming mechanics and positions.

I know in my golf instruction I have really started focusing on the little nails that keep the structure solid with my clients and I’m seeing even more usable and sustainable development that is transferable to the golf course.

Self organization

Yes the human mind and body are so amazing. If we start with clear intentions and don’t try to steer or take control we will self organize in most of the endeavors we pick up. When someone is chopping wood no one has to come train them to do it the person picks up the tool with a clear intent and our amazing minds and bodies completes the task. The more we chop the wood the more efficient we become. Golf is so similar to be honest. Ernest Jones and Manuel de la Torre and his father Angel de le Torre all advocted for the player to learn how to get out of their own way and get away from positional golf.

Sam Snead is on record saying if you spend a bunch of time breaking down the swing into parts it will fall apart in parts when it counts most. That’s why I will always be an advocate of moving the entire club while working on sections versus just hitting freeze frame positions. Bobby Jones and Jack Nicklaus & Gary Player all said something very similar during their careers. When you have players of that caliber all on the same page the ears should prop up and the eyebrows should raise

Even with the pelvic depth, I work on it while taking full swings at 70% power and once I feel I have it I will bump it up in 10% increments so that my mind and body will self organize again at the different speeds. More players should implement the speed ladder drill into their weekly sessions I truly believe.
