Rebuilding My Swing Using ABS Module 1 – Early Impressions & Questions

Hi, dfee5,

Welcome to the ABS journey :-).

To answer your question, my experience as a mid-handicapper who played and studied golf for 50 years, there’s been many small but noticeable incremental improvement experiences and ABS puzzle pieces all along the way. Initially at first it was hardly noticeable… but over time and in aggregate, a remarkable positive shift has occurred in my ability to strike the golf ball.

After 1.25 years of ABS, I really started to notice it kicking in. I did need to “Learn a new (ABS) way to strike the golf ball”, and depending on where you’re coming from, if you (like me) were not already a low single digit player, you’ll probably need to go through a learning curve as well and that did take some time for me. I’m glad I kept drilling, so be patient and trust the ABS process and drilling - Lagpressure’s drilling methodology really gives you a pathway to be able to really learn this “new and different and better way”. My experience has been at age 66 and even with swing speed declining slowly due to age, the ABS drilling has given me, an ability to control the golf ball on the golf course that has never been better and keeps getting better. I can report that after 2.5 years of ABS drilling, I can actually feel the ABS swing to be ingrained enough that I can trust it (most of the time) on the golf course, vs. the swing that I had before I started ABS.

I documented some of that experience here in this ABS forum post, I hope the info there helps. The practice routine that I have been doing is documented there-in:

For me, the major helpful drill so far has been the ABS Module 4 “Magic Trick” i.e. ABS pitch shot drilling. Modules 1,2,3 are the foundation for this Magic Trick drill. The referenced ABS post of mine above gives more detail - there’s some associated YouTubes in that post and there’s more info in those YouTubes’ descriptions.
