Interesting results from golf digest. Nothing we dont know already but seeing it quantified really makes the point. One interesting take away is that the 975 with steel and prov1 had tightest dispersion.

I still play my Titleist 975 D & 975 J multiple rounds a year. For me it was top 3 metal woods ever made right there with the Big Bertha and Cleveland Classic but out of all three of these drivers the 975 was and is a pure fairway finder. Not for the faint of heart. We use to say accomplished drivers of the ball played the 975 and players that sprayed their ball played the Big Bertha because it was more forgiving and less demanding.

Tiger drove it unbelievably well for a couple years there before he started using graphite and changing his swing again.

It was also one of, or the last, driver he played that didn’t have the trampoline effect so just the standard .78 COR of a hard object. The same as a persimmon.
