my idea of golf

so…it was cloudy and gloomy and windy and spittin’ rain…
golf still called to me, especially since the pain has diminished…(tendonitis)
I ran into “the kid” who is always out there…I guess he is 18 now, and #1 on the golf team…
we got to know each other in the past couple years since we both practice all the time…
the weather sucked, he and I were the only two out there…
so we talked and hit balls and gave each other golf lessons…
talked girls and golf, but mostly golf…an entire golf course of our own…
3 hours later it was cloudy and gloomy and windy and spittin’ rain…

what a great day!!

Nice one bentshaft - your post reminded me of a book called Follow the Wind someone let me recently:

http://www.amazon.com/Follow-Wind-Bo-Links/dp/0684815753

Its a fantasy I think someone described as a kind of Field of Dreams for golf. Its fun in a Shivas Irons type way…

Ah that’s golf eh bentshaft!

I love it when it’s pouring rain at golf. It’s feeling alive.

And how long do you wait between seeing lightning and hearing thunder before leaving the course?

thanks guys…it was just a quick little story and I think you picked up on exactly how I felt…
Lag has written how he loves the wind blowing over at “The Mare”…
it’s strange how chilly and windy can be so perfect!!

oh—we get so little lightning here, I’m not sure if i would ignore it or run my ass off to the clubhouse!!
