Mike Dunaway. One of the most beautiful, powerful, and efficient swings of all time.No strain or violence to his swing. Gone too soon.
Wonderful shoulder rotation and he has proper sequencing working through the shot keeping the left knee flexed through P4. This really helps him stabilize lowpoint. While most believe you have to lock up the left knee through the strike for power, it is simply not true. Dunaway was one of the longest drivers of a golf ball, and hit into a flexed left knee. He was hitting more from his core or dantien and using ground forces correctly.
Thanks for posting!
Nice post thank you. I had the pleasure of witnessing an exhibition by Mike Dunaway and, being an enthusiast and with not too many people in attendance, I was able to get up close. It’s a very much alive memory, like yesterday. Beautiful uninterupted swing free from any manipulation. Art.
Thanks for that, Geoff. Must of been seomthing to see his ballstriking in person. He also seemed to be a very nice guy.
