Grady Heel Heavy Divot Post Impact.jpg

Thank you! It is coming together now. I can do the layoff, I can get the heel heavy divot and I can do the post impact level rotation…just need to merge it all together. With the layoff, however, it is going to be easy. That sets it all up.

P.S. The first still is a different swing than the last two!

love the shoes grady, what are they. they look like cricket shoes to me.

personally, i love the metal spiked cricket shoes.

There is only one way to do that kind of hitting motion… and that is the right way… because those three actions need to work together and be balanced correctly.

Good job.

I just revisited this piece of gold by aiguille:

The text in bold, combined with the ‘slamming the pie’ principle really pushed my Module 3 drilling to a higher level.

Thanks man

Here Grady is showing (swing 1) his new found ability to find the slot. Textbook stuff really…

These were taken from (swing 2) a different swing that still showed good slotting.

This shows the difference between the tightness of connection through impact. The one more slotted is not as tight because of the greater force the deep slotting motion puts on the body. This is why one needs to be trained properly to handle these forces and pressures.

So we will look forward to seeing Grady work the best of both worlds… then we will turn the camera to a caddy view and discuss the evidence from that angle.

It’s great to see the progress… congrats!

Impressive stuff Grady, congrats!!

I like to hit drivers off the deck with a very, very heavy driver Mike made for me to check my mod work. This is a mod 1,2,3 and 4 drill. I failed with 4, but nailed the rest.

Update from Module #7 Student

For those of you following the drama on SITD, my buddy Jay has had a late conversion to the wisdom of the hitter’s release. He posted this on his thread and I told him that is a real good summary of ABS!

All I try to do is have a short backswing ,plane it as shallow as I can and then rip the shit out of it with rotation…

Am chuffed today to have won the club competition set up by my Grandfather.

Last year I won the John Gascoigne Memorial Quaich (who was an Uncle) at another club I am member, so it’s pretty cool to hold both comps in my family name.

I know doubles scores don’t count for much, but I played great today, 5 birdies, 1 bogey, gross 67 off the whites. :sunglasses:

NRG, congrats on the win!! I hope that you can keep winning that competition for many years to come. I’m sure your grandfather would be very proud

Cheers Paul, I know the owld fella would have been very happy with that one.

great stuff, congrats NRG

Nice one Neil, they could have at least spelt your name right on the results sheet! :astonished:

Thanks jimmy,

Arnie, what do you expect? I’ve only been a member there since 1986.

Congrats and well deserved.
Nice to see the hard work paying off… again.
