Jackie Burke with some thoughts on equipment and driving

I came across this clip from an interview that Secret in the Dirt posted. Pretty interesting thoughts.

That’s persimmon talk. Tee it low for control, deep face persimmon driver, think about where on the face you are going to strike the ball.

Burke said, “I don’t know what these guys are trying to do hitting the ball way up there”

Lag,

Burke didn’t put a figure other than a spread of the fingers to how high he suggests to tee it up, but how high should we look to tee the ball up with the driver in terms of percentage of the ball above the crown of club? I have been teeing it up just to where just under half the ball is above the plane of the crown, the absolute height depending on the particular driver, of course.
