Nature’s colors are amazing, especially this beauty sitting in dormant grass.

Honma was known for using exotic woods and really neat inserts. I have a few sets of different models I love the black Japanese persimmon it’s so solid and known for its hardness and durability.

I could see a Persimmon mini tour popping off in Japan

When I play persimmons I use Wilson Duo or Callaway Chrome soft

I would say it could happen in Japan before it would happen in the States. In the states even the people that love persimmons rarely play them anymore. They have turned into eye candy for the most part.

Generally speaking

I love getting paired with Japanese or Korean players. I feel like they appreciate the game more.

It’s just so hard giving away 25-35 yards off the tee box to your buddies at the end of the day. And a simple tee box adjustment would cure that but we all know how challenging it is to get a group of golfers to play from different tee boxes in the same group also. Now I’m on record saying I will play against anyone with my persimmons from the white tee boxes.

But when we play from the tips with the other coaches I can’t afford to give up the yardage advantage against them so I play my modern driver if we are playing from the tips.

They play a different type golf for sure we have a very large korean contingent of players at my course and it’s fun seeing them out playing. I think the longest iron in most of their bags is a 6 iron at this point.

That’s alot of PXG logos

Hi Guys, I still have two Ping 3 woods and a couple of Pin 5 woods simply because I inherited my Dad’s clubs and added them to mine when he passed away in 1996. Believe it or not, his driver had been stolen from his locker at the golf course when I went out there to clean it out. I also bought one a Louisville Driver and 5 Wood way back when just because they are so pretty. Mostly just eye candy in the basement now as Blades has previously mentioned. But you guys have convinced me to start trying to hit them. I live in Smiths Falls, Ontario and was fortunate (now looking back) to hit golf balls on the range with Brooke Henderson back in day as she grew from a ten year old to a Champion and one day I had her hitting the Louisville driver. It was her first (and maybe only) persimmon. Her only comment was that, “It feels like hitting a marshmallow” mostly due to the lack of metal contact noise.

Sorry for the grammar errors and spelling mistakes above. There’s a new thing out. It’s called proof reading.
