Has anybody looked at Forward Golf?

His approach is a interesting thought process, but confusing. His goal is a “Tiger Strike” or a contact point on the 3 groove (because tiger does it). The interesting part is the bounce and CoG variable that he accounts for ( missing sole width and dead weight) [he does account for loft/lie/length/shaft flex]. Not that this is better, but it is interesting even if his goal is specifically vague. I recall Johnny Miller saying his goal was to hit the 6th groove through the middle of the ball. Thoughts ?

I’m a fan of the posts and think he is on to something. His recommendations dovetail with a lot of what John says which tells me Chad is on the right track as far as impact dynamics. I appreciate anyone who is so focused on improving. I’ve reached out to him a few times and found him to be a very nice guy.

I do a drill with my students where I tell them to hit 3 shots off the 3rd groove 3 shots off the 4th groove and 3 shots off the 5th groove. 100% agreement across the board with all students is what they believe to be the 4th groove correlates to the best shots. I have done this type of practice for some years now and personally what I also perceive as the 4th groove presents the most solid shots.
