Interesting article worthy of a repost over here. While I don’t think retailers offering fittings is the solution, I think he’s right about the issues facing the equipment companies and the unsustainability of the current golf club release cycles and technology hype.
Golf went over the cliff a long time ago. Now it’s what to do with a broken game that makes no sense, has trashed it’s historical significance, sent it’s finest courses out to pasture, trivialized the accomplishments of the great players of previous generations and dumbed the game down to the lowest common denominator.
