Force Line Sensations

I’ve forgotten at the moment what thread Bom posted this picture in, and the player’s name escapes me too, but I remembered the impression it left and have returned to it recently in a similar regard.

Over the years I would occasionally experience a feeling of what I thought was near imbalance after impact- the ball flew magnificently but the uneasiness about the sensation was concerning and I hoped it wouldn’t return. This happened maybe once or twice a year at most.

But lately, it’s happening more and more, so much so I’ve examined and learned how to bring the sequence about and am not too concerned with it as it becomes more comfortable and it’s not really an unbalanced platform at all.

So, went into the vault looking for something that would capture the feeling. I found it within the Nelson collection. I drew some lines on Byron’s follow thru and if you examine the 2 images they’re about the same force lines. Starting to admire Byron a tonne- great leg action.

It was actually LipOut in Bom’s thread that posted the George Duncan image in Small World, post # 817. Thanks LipOut, wherever you are.

Oh man LipOut lives in my same town. I haven’t seen him irl in years. I gotta give him a call and get him back on here! Good dude…

Gravity Golf is all about getting off balance in order to tap into fluid motion. It’s a really good feeling when done correctly. And the ball explodes off the face.
