I have a dilemma in regards to the Flying Wedges, as described by Homer Kelly, and Power Accumulator #2. It seems to me that there is a conflict between these two aspects of TGM. How can PA#2 be used, without negating the rule of maintaining the Flying Wedges? It just doesn’t make sense to me. Any guidance sincerely appreciated.
Not sure what you are saying here…
Are you suggesting they are incompatible?
Yes, to me that seems to be the case. My understanding is that PA#2 is the cocking and uncocking of the left wrist. But that action is in contradiction to maintaining the flying wedges. What am I not understanding?
You’re not looking at it 3-dimensionally. The flying wedges are still intact in the backswing if the club is tracing the straight plane line with a flat left wrist at the top of backswing.
I wouldn’t really be too concerned about this… because as a proper hitter… not TGM hitting (right arm thrusting)
The uncocking of the wrists… we uncock about half way into the strike. We hold wristcock through the strike to stabilize lowpoint and by working low, left and around, this stabilizes the clubface also, and keeps the clubface looking at the target longer… and not rolling over which massively increases a need for a timing based golf swing (Avoid).
I also disagree with the right wrist flying wedge, because it can promote position based pivot stall… void of proper post impact pivot thrust dynamics.
We teach dynamic movements that create the kind of positions TGM favors… the “positions” do nothing unto themselves.
