Currently available ABS spec irons/woods/wedges March 2026?

Looking for any clubs that are ABS spec, as my whole bag is needing replacing after years and years of lightweight modern golf gear.

Any hints/directions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Have you checked the buy/sell page here
Usually some good stuff there.

I found a good stock vintage iron set on ebay. Then had a local smith do the wrenching a plug in dgx100s. Woods are the hard part

Welcome to ABS GG112.

Most of the era gear will be close to what you’re after as a start. I used to browse eBay but found Facebook Market place is way better in our area. Just have to be diligent with your search time and they will pop up.

Thanks for the help.

I will second the above comments that you can buy great vintage irons that you can use to bend to full ABS spec’s, for not much money at all. I have found good deals on both eBay and especially the local Goodwill / consignment stores (which are the most cost effective). I’ve not had to spend very much money at all on these sets (these are the 3 irons representing many of my sets). If you’re patient, not in a hurry, and know what you’re looking for, they are out there to be found

Let us know if you have any specific questions, the ABS community here has a lot of knowledge. There is also a great deal of vintage club knowledge to be found on Facebook Groups focusing on vintage clubs.

Goodwills have gone to trash here in Georgia, when I was in Ohio I found some great classic clubs but here in GA no luck. But eBay is full of them. Right now I’m only in the market for vintage from 1963 my birth year.

10 years ago Goodwill had lots of vintage clubs/bags at least in WA. Pretty much scalped these days and end up on ebay overpriced

I just finished up a rare set of early 1950’s MacGregor 985’s (2-9) with additional PW. These the same model I have been gaming over the last few three years. I think they are the best blades ever made. Took a long time to dial them in perfectly.. but they are right where I want them. I’ll post them up hopefully this week. I am just setting up the pitching wedge from a similar MacGregor set.

I will take them.

If I jumped the gun, I apologize. I have been looking for those clubs, and have not run across a set with the proper shafts.

Anyway, I would love to buy them if possible.

Thank you,

BillyD—new to the ABS family.
