Just wanted to open a discussion on Ben Hogan’s “Masters”, Wild Bill Mehlhorn, Macdonald Smith, and Henry Picard.
I havent heard much of Wild Bill Mehlhorn or Macdonald Smith. Did Hogan supposedly take particular skills from each of these guys and implemented in his overall own swing? If you watch Macdonald Smith footage, his waggle is similar to what Hogan did. Anyways someone has nicely threw together footage of each of Ben Hogan’s “Masters”. It would be interesting to know what swing theories these individuals thought in their day.
