Just jotting down a few Non Negotiable items to kick things off here:
- Flat Lie Angles, Heavy heads, stiff shafts, no offset
- Wide Stance
- Maximum weight transfer
- Left arm on shoulder line
- Laggy takeaway getting shaft perpendicular to left arm by 9 oclock
- Cupped wrist at the top
- Torso more vertical than not…with level shoulder rotation
- Straight left arm created by right arm support
- Tripping the shaft at transition
- Weight 95% on right foot through transition
- Major push off the right foot through transtion assists in saving pivot rotation
- Tripping the shaft and lateral push must happen simultaneously
- Shoulders and hips remain closed as far into downswing as possible
- After tripping the shaft, hands move down to right hip pocket
- Strike from the 4:30 line with weight on left foot
- Clubface as open as possible at P3 prior to strike
- Hands low through impact (heel heavy divot)
- Maximum body rotation through the strike
- Right elbow frozen through the strike
- Forward shaft lean resisted through the strike
- Level shoulder rotation through strike
- Cohesive body tensions in place throughout the swing
- Mod 3 foot grind from P3 to finish
- Hold shaft flex through strike (acceleration)
- Hands cut left post impact keeping clubface looking at target
- Pressure taken off the shaft at transition
- Shaft falls behind body while weight transfers left laterally (free ride down)
- Grip is firm but flexible in wrists
- Grip is fairly neutral
- Finish with weight on left foot
- Finish with shoulders rotated as open as possible
- Finish with upper left arm parallel to ground, shaft more skyward
- Grip in fingers is firm
- Head moves down and laterally on downswing as knees flex and weight moves left
- Right foot perpendicular to target line at address
- Right knee is allowed to straighten on the backswing
- Left knee straightens from P4 to finish but is pulled straight by the torso and hip rotation…not independently
Start a new topic on any of these to further the discussion.
