More and more a basic life routine will find its way into my awareness about swing dynamics, sometimes I wish it would take a break but not complaining by any means. Not too long ago it was a P-trap and its association with, among other things, the free ride down.
Recently Dr. NoFrills prescribed an antibiotic pill as big as a horse’s leg making the swallowing task difficult. Rat logic, which is always questionable, suggested extending head-neck upward toward the ceiling will make swallowing easier by widening the path down but no, it makes swallowing the pill more difficult. After diligent RR (rat research) I found the task becomes easier when flexing, or bowing, the head-neck downward toward the ground which widens the path and makes travel smooth and quick. Counter intuitive.
The best part is when flexing the head-neck downward the pill float loads on top of the water within the mouth and will find a wide-open wide path on the down travel compared to head-neck extension which narrows, or constricts, the path.
Flexion down widens path and extension up narrows path, just like golf, Trevino, Hogan, anybody, anybody that’s really good.
“David, what do you think about current PGA Tour players hitting plastic rocks with frying pan drivers on courses that were designed in the early 1900s?”
Never watched Twin Peaks, have no idea what it is, but I did look up a YouBube video on the Red Room…..a little guy from the Wizard of Oz and gal named Palmer. Have no idea what I watched, will check with Mall Rat and see what’s up, she watches everything it seems at least once.
I have had a ton of success with not only myself but also with many students by never having a single downswing thought. I work hard trying to ingrain in every client that steps on my lesson tee that “ The Destination Drives Movent” when I get them thinking much more about where they want to finish so many good things happen in-between that moment that takes 1.2 to 1.7 seconds from address to finish.
