6 Month Progress Report

Here is my progress after about 6 months of working with Bradley. Any observations from the peanut gallery??

It’s always surprising the difference between “feel” and “real.” I think my 4:30 line and bent right elbow before impact have improved…a little. Mainly with the wood. But my post-impact is still flipping too much, still too much like my old swing. Halfway down in the downswing, my shaft is still pointing too steep, but I think its a little better with the wood. I can now see that I’ve neglected my bag work. Partially due to an old nagging injury, tennis elbow in my left arm.

At least my scores have improved more than my swing.

BEFORE:
Ave. Score: 89
Fairways: 42%
GIR: 27%
Saves: 24%
Errors: 5 (tee shot out of play, missed green with pitch, chip, or sand shot, or 3-putt from less than 30 feet)

AFTER:
Ave. Score: 83
Fairways: 53%
GIR: 36%
Saves: 38%
Errors: 2.5 (tee shot out of play, missed green with pitch, chip, or sand shot, or 3-putt from less than 30 feet)

I’m sure most everyone here would be happy to drop a shot a month. Keep working on it. Remember to play the shot shape you bring to the course. As long as you have some kind of repeating pattern, you can play this game very well.

Thanks for the update.

That is timeless advice. A couple of my videos are not showing on YouTube. I’ll try and re-post them.

Lookin good John, impressive progress! Let’s play some team events this season before your handicap shrinks too much.
