I just want to touch up with black the numbers on some of my irons…any suggestions on how? with what? etc… I want them to look original so I will be sticking with black.
Maltby in his Club Design, Fitting, Alteration and Repair manual recommends Lacquer Stiks. They’re a brand name in the States but there’ll probably be an equivalent in Oz. Rub over, wipe off. He also recommends lacquer paint or fast-dry enamel.
The only thing I have ever used is a white enamel from those Humbrol model airplane paints. No problem.
RustOleum Enamels… Dab in, and quick wipe off with a folded up piece of tissue paper… Works great!
