That is one beautiful presentation.
Thanks for sharing. Nothing but inspiration.
since we are talking about hogan and his right foot a bit, i thought i might post this question here. in hogan’s book he says to set the left foot rotated slightly toward the target, and the right foot square to the target line. ive never worn metal spikes. i play in soft spikes and practice in sneakers. i dont necessarily feel like im lacking for traction but i have nothing to compare to. the other day i tried 2 new right foot things with my sneakers on. first i put something braced on the outside of my right foot like a pitchers rubber for me to push off of just to see what it was like. i think i really liked the feeling alot. now im trying to get that feeling without the pitchers rubber and cant get the same force (still in sneakers). one thing i tried that did seem to help is actually rotating my right foot past square and toward the target slightly too. not as much as the left, but maybe 5 to 10 degrees toward the target. i feel like i get much more force. what do you all think about that? (im on module 2 so this is really appropriate for me right now)
Reminds me of John Huston’s Weight-Rite golf shoes that got banned…
All the great golf swings evolved from players using steel spikes… exactly for this reason.
The people responsible for banning steel spikes at golf courses are not good strikers or they would never do such a thing. It’s simply an ignorant thing to do.
I’m not angry about it… just furious… ![]()
Furyk could yield the sword. But i want to see Gary Player hit one now.
