I just use the launch monitor for knowing my carry distances and seeing if it shaped the way I want it to. Byron Nelson said if he was hitting the ball the same distance with a certain club every time he knew he was going to win.
I’m not focused on maximizing my distance or increasing it whatsoever, I want to have quantifiable data that tells me that I’m hitting it the same distance with the same shape every time because that’s the name of the game: consistency.
I’ve never seen anyone hit a driver 14 times in a row on the range and all 14 times turned out exactly how they want it to (same distance, same shape). Yet that is the first step to shooting 54 on the course, along with hitting 22 FW/iron/wedge shots and making 18 putts.
