He did also use a steel shafted, 43 half inch driver then also… why he wanted to alter that and go graphite is beyond me… it has hurt his swing immeasurably on the tee shot… his iron swing is still not that bad at all because he has half and idea where the clubhead is
I recently noticed a correlation between hip angle and steepness of shoulders while comparing GN to Tiger. The early firing of the hips necessitates the upward, target oriented journey of the shoulders, in order to ‘save’ the shot. It’s a basic sort of concept, but seeing it so clearly with these guys was kind of cool.
