My home course and why I chose it..

Here’s a pic of Donald Ross’ Ravisloe Country Club built in 1901 … Every hole demands great ball striking and if you miss the green you better have a great short game… This pic represents what has to happen on many holes… If you can’t work the ball you’re pretty much going to have a crappy round… Good stuff . If anyone lives near Chicago, give me a shout and we’ll go tee it up… The fairway bunkers are a penalty and a lot of the times you have to just blast it back to the fairway and the rough is always thick…

Great stuff. My home track Haydock Park. Not long at 6k yards but you really have to golf your ball around here… designed by former Open Champion James Braid in 1877 (said to be the ‘inventor’ of the dogleg) it features 5 doglegs, tight fairways that are tree lined & tiny greens surrounded by bunkers. Judging distances is hard too as alot of holes (especially the par 3s) have a sense scrambling bunker 20-30 yards short of the green.
