I have a question on flex, a comparison from the vintage Apex shafts to the newer ones. I recently obtained a set of 1973 Apexes with the original Apex 4 shafts. Are they stiffer than the modern ones? They feel stiffer than the 4’s in my '98’s and the reshated '68 bounce soles that I have. The latter two sets with the more “modern” Apex 4 feel a little softer. At impact, a little more kick, or flexing at the bottom.
I’m just curious, because after a weekend of trial, the vintage Apex 4 shafts feel stiffer.
