Sanders played “First Flight” clubs and was on their staff after Wilson.

I agree, First Flight clubs are some of the greatest clubs made. Toney Penna, was the great designer for MacGregor that started his own company. I’ve been very impressed with the First Flight line from the 1960’s. The company didn’t last long, but the legacy of the gear is 1rst rate.

“I practiced an hour before I would play, and two hours after my round if the sun allowed”

I had no idea how involved with junior golf Doug had been. Impressive. Love watching that swing on Shell’s.

The last quote is quite revealing. Thanks for extrapolating! Always appreciated…especially the first one. :sunglasses:
